Cortines and Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo joined Nightingale Middle School music students and other special guests to mark the expansion of a successful school safety partnership. The development of Youth Centers in partnership with the City Attorney's office is administered through the Joint Use/Innovation Fund program. The expanded partnership is making possible youth centers at five LAUSD middle schools, including Nightingale where students are receiving $80,000 worth of new music instruments for an after-school program thanks to an investment by the City Attorney and The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.
