LAUSD Chief Facilities Executive Guy Mehula joined iSEE Architecture & Engineering students at the Vista Hermosa Park Dedication on July 19, 2008. At the event, iSEE students learned about how LAUSD partners with other agencies to bring needed resources to communities, like the playfield at the park, as well as how these resources are designed to support community use.

Contractor Bondworks: Helping Small Contractors

LAUSD Chief Facilities Executive Guy Mehula, Director of Contractor Relations and Small Business Program Veronica Soto, Board Member Marguerite LaMotte and Director of Facilities Contracts Greg Garcia launched Contractor BondWorks on October 29, 2008. More than 200 small contractors and community members attended the event to learn how the new program helps small contractors eliminate the barriers to bonding and access to capital so they can better compete for public works contracts.
