Design Management

This section assumes all of the design management responsibilities associated with projects being implemented using Measure K, R, Y and BB Bond funds. By centralizing this function, there is greater consistency in the budgets and schedules associated with the design phase of these projects as well as in the application of LAUSD Design Standards throughout the District. Design Management oversees the design services of both in-house staff, A/E Technical Support, and commissioned architects and engineers. This section is responsible for confirming project scope and budgets, establishing and monitoring design schedules, negotiating for and managing design services, cordinating ATU/CEQA and DSA approvals, as well as phasing construction with the Local Regions and school administrators.
