Policy Development

We evaluate new government policies, new products and construction processes and we also provide feedback to government agencies and input to design guides and specifications.

Process

A/E Technical Support has the technical expertise and experience to execute high quality designs and support services. During the pre-design and design phases, our architects and engineers work closely with clients to understand project-specific issues and develop cost-effective solutions. We provide oversight to 127 commissioned architectural and engineering firms and match projects with the best suited A/E firms when needed. We conduct quality assurance and quality control design reviews to projects prepared by commissioned engineers to ensure uniformity and consistency of designs as well as compliance with code requirements and District design standards.

A/E Technical Support has submitted hundreds of projects to the Division of State Architect both as a prime and as a sub consultant, thereby developing a relationship with DSA that facilitates the approval process.

During construction, A/E Technical Support provides thorough construction phase services to ensure expedited processing of RFCs, field discrepancies, and other documentation. We are also available to assist with closeout when design services are required, such as resolving issues amongst Architects of Record and inspectors and undertaking complex projects that have been abandoned by outside consulting firms.
