All legislative maps represent the newly redistricted areas based on the
2002 Reapportionment. The new districts officially become effective once
the newly elected representatives take office. All offices will be voted on
this year, except for ODD Numbered Senate Seats (i.e. 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27
& 29). State assembly and senate districts (except as noted) will become
effective on December 2, 2002, and the U.S. congressional districts will
become effective on January 3, 2003. The Primary and General elections for
the odd-numbered senate offices will be conducted in 2004.
